Scandinavian International Film Festival

On October 25, 2017, the official opening and awarding ceremony of Scandinavian 3-rd International Film Festival held in Helsinki. Jivan Avetisyan’s movie “The Last Inhabitant” took "The Best Feature Film" main award.

“The Last Inhabitant” is a story of deportation of Armenian populated village Gyurjevan in the early days of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The film is a joint Armenian-Lithuanian production.

The leading actor of the movie Alexander Khachatryan has received the award in the nomination of “The Best Actor”.

The screening of the movie will take place on October 28, 2017, at the official closing ceremony of the festival.

The Scandinavian premiere of the movie has been organized in last May and June in theatres of Helsinki, Stockholm and Uppsala.
