Winnet Armenia as a role model of women resource centers in the Eastern Partnership region

Presentation of the Winnet model of gender equality and economic empowerment in Eastern Europe took place at the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Armenia and the Winnet Sweden.

The aim of the event was to provide information to the Swedish MFA, Swedish Institute, as well as the Embassies of the Eastern Partnership countries accredited in Stockholm about the WINNET model of gender equality and women economic empowerment. Ambassador of Armenia Artak Apitonian, Assistant Director General of Sida for Europe and Latin America Elsa Håstad and President of Winnet Sweden Britt-Marie Söderberg Torstensson presented the model with particular focus on the activities and achievements of the WINNET Armenia. The speakers emphasized the importance of sharing the experience of Winnet Armenia in the Eastern Partnership region as a role model for women resource centers.
