Reception to Celebrate Armenia’s 28th Independence Day

On September 25th the Embassy of Armenia in Stockholm hosted a reception celebrating the 28th anniversary of Armenia’s independence and the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership at the House of Nobility (Riddarhuset).

Opening remarks by Ambassador Alexander Arzoumanian and Deputy Director-General of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Andreas von Beckerath emphasized the warm relations between Armenia and Sweden.

Guests included the Swedish Riksdag’s First Deputy Speaker Åsa Lindestam, Deputy Speaker Lotta Johnsson Fornarve, and a number of deputies, Foreign Ministry officials, ambassadors, NGO representatives, academics, business people, and members of Sweden’s Armenian community.

All enjoyed Armenian music, food, and wine.
