The National Football Team of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic arrived in Stockholm Confederation of Independent Football Associations World Football Cup

The National Football Team of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic arrived in Stockholm on May 30 to participate in the ConIFA (Confederation of Independent Football Associations) World Football Cup, which will take place from June 1 to 8 in Östersund, Sweden.

The members of the Artsakh National Team were enthusiastically welcomed at the Stockholm Arlanda Airport by the representatives of the Armenian community in Sweden. Then the Team members visited the Embassy of Armenia in Sweden.

In the afternoon, the Union of Armenian Associations in Sweden organized a warm reception of the Artsakh National Team at one of the picturesque recreational areas of Sweden.

Note that the Nagorno-Karabakh Team will participate in the group matches on June 1 at 19.00 with the Isle of Man (Ellan Vannin) and on June 3 at 19.00 with the County of Nice.

This World Cup is a unique opportunity for the national teams of non-recognized states to participate in the «football world» under their national flags. The Artsakh National Team will participate in this event for the first time.
