Bilateral Relations

General Information

Diplomatic relations between Armenia and Iceland were established on May 15, 1997.

On May 7, 2024 Ambassador Anna Aghadjanian presented her credentials to the President of Iceland Mr. Guðni Th. Jóhannesson. 

On March 25, 2021 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iceland to the Republic of Armenia Árni Þór Sigurðsson (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian.

On February 16, 2021 Levon Hayrapetyan was appointed Honorary Consul of Iceland in the Republic of Armenia.
