A delegation of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia visited Sweden

A delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Justice of Armenia Mr. Suren Krmoyan visited Sweden from June 13 to June 17, 2016 to discuss the prospects of cooperation in the field of justice.

During the meeting between Deputy Minister Krmoyan and the Minister for Justice and Migration of Sweden Mr. Morgan Johansson on June 16, 2016 the interlocutors discussed the programs and prospects of cooperation in the improvement of penitentiary and probation service, anti-corruption activities, promoting the freedom of information and data protection, introduction of e-Government tools, crime victim protection and other areas.

Deputy Minister Krmoyan also met with the Head of the National Anti-Corruption Unit Mr. Kim Andrews, Director General of the Swedish Crime Victim Compensation and Support Authority Ms. Annika Öster and the Director General of Swedish Prison and Probation Service Mr. Nils Öberg and discussed the programs of cooperation between the authorities.

The delegation also participated in the meetings with other Swedish institutions in the field of justice organized within the framework of the project “Strengthening health care and human rights protection in prisons in Armenia” implemented by the Council of Europe.
