The young members of the Armenian community of Sweden have been active over the past few years. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of Sweden Artak Apitonian says this is linked to the increase in the flow of Armenians. The community is growing, and so are the organizations. According to the Ambassador, four new Armenian Sunday schools were established in Sweden just recently. This is what Artak Apitonian said during the teleconference that the RA Ministry of Diaspora held with representatives of the Armenian community of Sweden, according to Hayern Aysor.

“It is safe to say that the youth have started uniting around the embassy. Currently, we are organizing the visit of IT experts from Armenia in September and are also trying to gather professionals in the field of engineering,” Armenia’s Ambassador to Sweden said.

According to RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, since there are already nine Armenian schools in Sweden, it is time for them to be joined within a council of schools so that representatives gather and discuss their issues and future actions from time to time. Hranush Hakobyan urged the principals of the schools to teach children not only the Armenian language, but also Armenian songs and dances so that they attend the lessons with more pleasure and with more motivation.
